"END THE SILENCE"
For the ESE COMMUNITY FORUM'S 1st OFFICIAL ACTIVISM INITIATIVE, we excitedly invite you to join us to be part of creating a powerful video collage of all of our amazing supporters from all around the world coming together to convey he same powerful message: the time has come to end the silence and stigma surrounding youth mental illnesss and suicide once and for all. To achieve this goal we will produce a video montage of all submissions each of which will convey our foundational message with three simple words: END THE SILENCE!
To participate simply submit a photo, 3-5 second video, piece of artwork, or any other type of multi-media content: the key is a that this submission, whatever creative and multi-media form it ends up taking, clearly communicates the three simple yet oh so powerful words: “END THE SILENCE" (for inspiration check out the submission examples section).
Any member interested in helping to plan the initiative, especially anyone with skills in video editing and production is most welcomed to reach out to our Director, Emma Aders (via chat or email), to discuss being part of the initiative leadership team and/or video production team! You can volunteer as little or as much time as you are able to the project-from simply suggesting an improvement to the campaign to becoming a full part of the video production team, we are open to people getting involved with helping us achieve a successful campaign at every level!
To show that mental illness and suicide can touch any life, no matter your gender, sexuality, race, religion, identify or otherwise, we would be so grateful appreciate (but will gladly accept otherwise), those submissions that include YOU as part of the submission. For example we suggest a picture of you holding a sign with the words “End the Silence” or a 5 sec video clip of you speaking this phrase. If you can think of a more creative way to convey this message please use your imagination and have fun with it.
Keep in mind that if YOU CAN INCLUDE YOURSELF IN THE CONTENT it will help show how many of us are bravely standing in the sun, proud of who we are and what we have survived and continue to content with each day. It will show those who perpetuate the stigma that we are not hiding in the shadows that they have tried to back us into.
We can’t wait to see the submission start coming in.
❗️Please submit to: email@example.com ❗️
We don’t have a submission deadline at present but in general, the sooner you can submit, the sooner we can edit together and produce this powerful message that will be this forum/community’s official entrance into the global youth mental health and suicide prevention world!
